Vertical Balanced Flues
The
Monodraught vertical balanced flue chimney systems offers a major step forward
to Architects in not only eliminating the appearance of ugly flues and cowls
above the roof line but also in providing the air for combustion and ventilation
to the boiler room. This eliminates the need for separate high and low level
louvres previously required by British Standards. Designed on the same principle
as a balanced-flue boiler, the Monodraught system uses the boiler house
as a balancing chamber. The advantage of this arrangement is that up to
eight boilers can be used on one Monodraught system and the boiler room
can be sited within the roof space or internal part of the building without
the need to provide ducting or grills to the outside walls. A wide range
of chimney systems are available in brick, stone or glassfibre all purpose
designed for each Project and colour matched to the fabric of the building.
All installations are carried out by Monodraught’s skilled installation
teams. The system is approved by British Gas and BSI and complies with BS6644
and BS5440. Recommended by all leading boiler manufacturers.
